Art Music Denmark, Pro Helvetia and the inm – initiative neue musik berlin/field notes invite musicians, composers, ensembles, and curators to a visiting program during the Month of Contemporary Music in Berlin from August 31 to September 3, 2024.

Since 2017, the Month of Contemporary Music has presented the diversity of Berlin’s contemporary music scene every September. In concerts, performances and sound installations, current works by Berlin ensembles, artists and composers can be discovered – both in established concert halls and in independent venues.

The four-day program offers an in-depth insight into Berlin’s contemporary music scene and provides opportunities to connect with Berlin-based artists.

During the stay, we will visit:

– Various concerts, including the opening of the Month of Contemporary Music on August 31, 2024
– A networking event with artists from Berlin’s contemporary music scene,
– Visits to studios and project spaces.

To tailor the time in Berlin to the needs of each participant, all participants will receive personal consultation before arrival. We also assist in arranging appointments with key figures in the Berlin scene.

If interested, please contact us at mdzm@field-notes.berlin.

The programme covers:

Others have said…

“It was a really exciting visiting programme. Even though the program was intense, it worked really well to be bombarded with impressions. I took a lot with me from there, both concrete experiences and lots of food for thought. After the trip, I got in touch with several ensembles and a festival director.“

– Mads Emil Dreyer, composer. Participated in the visiting programme in September 2022.
