• Applications must be received by us by 23:59 at the latest on the date of the deadline.
• An application must be submitted before the project starts. If you submit after the project has started or ended your application will be rejected.
• A project may well have started before a deadline, as long as the application is submitted before the start of the project.
• You can expect a written response at the latest 4 weeks after the application deadline. Details about the outcome are exclusively delivered in written form.

Actors within Art Music Denmark’s genre areas; contemporary music, classical and sound art can apply at Tilskud til international transport. The pool covers international transport costs for projects and activities that promote Danish music and art.

Projects and activities that can get support are (among others): 

• concerts and tours
• collaborations
• networking events
• residencies
• journalistic assignments
• management work
• studio work (recordings)

You can apply for support for:

• Danish actors’ (artists, musicians etc.) activities abroad:
  • Travel from Denmark to abroad
  • Local transport abroad
• Actors from abroad’s activities in Denmark:*
  • Travel from abroad to Denmark
  • Local transport in Denmark (only in relation to actors from abroad’s activities in Denmark)
• In certain cases permission can be given for travels from one country abroad to another country abroad

You can apply… 

• only if you have a Danish CPR or CVR number
• only if you have a NemKonto
• only if you are a professional actor within our music genre area. An actor is e.g. a creator and/or performing artist, musician, composer, orchestra, ensemble, band, choir, booker, manager, festival director and music journalist.
• even if you live outside Denmark. This is possible only as long as you meet the above mentioned prerequisites/minimum requirements
• *on behalf of another person whom do not fulfil the minimum requirements – e.g. an artist coming from abroad to Denmark who does not have a Danish CPR/CVR number

For projects divided across several time periods

• If you wish to apply for a travel support for a project divided across several time periods, which are not one connected tour, we encourage you to submit an application for each connected time period.
• It is possible to submit more than one application for the same deadline.

Travel via car

• If you are travelling in your own car, you can cover international travel expenses via a governmental low-tariff rate which applies to international travel. The tariff includes fuel and other car-related expenses.

• When travelling in a rented car, rental receipts, documentation of the rental period, fuel vouchers, insurance etc. must be reported – read more about reporting expenses further down the page. 

The travel support pool only covers international transport. If you want to apply for grants for local transport in Denmark; e.g. a Danish tour with Danish actors you must apply for The National Transport Aid. Read more here

You cannot apply for support for: 

• The same project from multiple Danish national music organisations. If you do then all your applications will be rejected on the basis of duplicate applications (read more in 8. Declined application)
• Local transport in Denmark; e.g. a Danish tour with Danish actors. You can only receive support for local transport in Denmark if it is in connection with actors from abroad’s activities in Denmark
• Overnight stays (hotel etc.)
• Per diems (meals, drinks etc.)
• Study abroad, master classes etc.
• Recording costs (e.g. studio rent)
• Marketing and PR
• Fees to attend seminars or courses
• Competitions
• Amateur projects

You cannot apply if you…  

• do not have a Danish CPR or CVR number
• do not have a Nemkonto
• are an operationally-supported organisation, a public institution, intermediary institution, operationally-supported ensemble or similar. If you are unsure whether or not you are operationally-supported then we recommend you to talk with your financial manager

The following criteria is used to assess applications:

• Development opportunities either for the applicant and/or Danish music sector.
• Artistic quality.
• A touring company will be prioritised over a single concert.
• Danish composed music is given higher priority than non-Danish music in connection with Danish actors’ activities abroad.
• Innovative elements in projects or formats.
• Strategic value for the applicant’s career.
• Demonstrable local demand for the project.
• Emphasis is placed on a sensible budget with a realistic balance between expenses and earnings. Fees in connection with touring activities internationally are not expected to be lower than local musician fees for similar concerts.
• A plan to generate maximum value from the allocated funding: for example, arranging workshops or meetings with relevant collaboration partners with international projects, or when international soloists visit Denmark. 

• It is only possible to apply via the application system GrantOne. I.e. you cannot apply via email.
• The application system and form is written in Danish only.
• If this is your first time applying for the support you will need to create a new User profile, as you will not be able to access the system without one. You create the user profile by choosing a username and password.
• If you have already created a user profile and using MitID to log in, then please continue with that.
• If you have already created a user profile and using NemID to log in, you will in the future have to log in with a username and password (you have received an email regarding this from GrantOne).
• The minimum requirement to be eligible to apply is having a Danish CPR or CVR number, as well as NemKonto.
• An application must be submitted before the project or tour launches. The project may have started before the deadline, as long as the application is submitted before the launch.
• You can expect a written response at the latest four weeks after the application deadline. Details about the outcome of an application are exclusively delivered in written form – not via phone.
• If you meet the prerequisites, you can apply even if you live outside Denmark. 

CREATE USER AND APPLY VIA THE BUTTON BELOW ↓

• You must report via the form, which is found in your application in your user profile in the application system.
• Reports are only received via the report form – i.e. you cannot send attachments and your report via email or through the mail function in the application system.
• The support is paid out after the project has been completed and after we have received your report. Read more in 7. Commitment and payment.
• Submit your report no later than 1 month after the end of the project.
• The reporting form can be accessed after you have received your grant letter.
• The reporting form is only available in Danish. 

1. Log in to your user profile and click on the respective application.
2. In the application’s menu, you will find the item “Afrapportering”.
3. Click in via the pencil, follow the instructions carefully, fill in the form and submit your report.
4. When you have submitted your report, you will not receive a receipt by email. But you can always access and view your submitted report(s) under the item “Afrapportering”.

Attachment, receipts and overview:

• The attachment with all receipts must be uploaded as one PDF file.
• The first page of the attachment must contain an overview of all items for transport expenses in DKK including the sum (also write the foreign currency converted to DKK.)
  • The order of the items in the overview must follow the order of the corresponding receipts in the attachment.
  • If the overview does not exist, or if the attachment is not sufficient, your report will most likely be rejected and returned, where you will be asked to submit it again.
• The attachment must contain all receipts for international transport expenses. For example, you may not link to an online folder with your receipts, as we must be able to access them in our own system.
• The attachment must only contain receipts that relate to international transport expenses, which is why receipts for things that we do not support; such as accommodation, meals, etc. must not be in the attachment.

LOG IN AND REPORT VIA THE BUTTON BELOW ↓

• If your project is granted support, you will receive a grant letter.
• The support is paid out after the completion of the project and after you have submitted a report no later than 1 month after the end of the project.
• As a rule, a project must be completed within 2 years from the grant date. After this, the support automatically ceases.
• When paying out support, the granted amount will be regulated in relation to the actual travel costs within the granted amount – i.e. you will only be paid what you have actually spent, and never more than the original granted amount.
• If hotel stays, per diems or other expenses that are not covered by the support are included in the total costs, those expenses will be deducted.
• It is a requirement that the support is only paid out via NemKonto.
• The support is reported as B-income (not subject to AM/box 38) to SKAT at the same time as payment.
• If the granted amount is lower than the amount applied for, it is often due to prioritisation or because the granted amount matches the real transport costs in the application. • Art Music Denmark must be credited when a funded project is published and presented to the media, public and other stakeholders. Read more about crediting here.

We receive so many submissions with every application round, that the total funds applied for exceeds the funding pool earmarked by the Danish Arts Foundation for the support. We are therefore unable to approve every application.

• If your project is not granted support, you will receive a rejection letter confirming your declined application.
• Your application will be rejected if you submit after the end of the project. Applications must be submitted before the start of the project. A project may well have started before a deadline, as long as the application is submitted before the start of the project.
• Prioritisation: We encourage you to reapply by the next deadline if you are rejected due to prioritisation (if you reapply before the start of the project).
• Duplicate applications: You may not apply for support from multiple national music organisations (e.g. Art Music Denmark and Tempi) for the same project. Such applications will be rejected immediately on the basis of duplicate applications.
• Misplaced application: If your application is declined on the grounds that it is misplaced and therefore belongs to another national music organisation, you will be told in your rejection letter which other organisation the committee thinks you belong to. Art Music Denmark will make the other organisation aware of your application. But it is your own responsibility to apply to them, after which it will be treated on an equal footing with all other applications after the next deadline. We recommend that you enter into dialogue with the respective organisation after you have received your rejection letter from us.

JazzDanmark: Jazz and related genres
ROSA: pop, rock, electronica and related genres
Tempi: roots, folk and world music

• If your project is cancelled you must contact us as soon as possible and let us know and tell us the reason for the cancellation.
• In effect, you will need to carry out and complete the project as described in your application. But if you want to postpone or make significant changes to the project, it must be approved by Art Music Denmark first.
• Significant changes could include major changes to your submitted budget, changing key participants, delaying the start or finish date of a project or if personal reasons preclude you from completing the project as planned.
• If you want to postpone or make changes to the project, you must contact us in the application system or at transport@artmusicdenmark.org. Thereafter it will be assessed whether the changes can be approved. Remember to enter your journal number in the subject line when contacting us via email.
