Counselling
One of Art Music Denmark’s most important roles is to advise and support you in your work with contemporary music, classical music and sound art . Art Music Denmark offers free advice and consultations to musicians, composers, arrangers, distributors, venues and other cultural institutions operating within our music genres. Consultations can take place in-person during office hours or via telephone and email.

Travel Support
As an actor working within the music genres covered by Art Music Denmark, you are eligible to apply for international travel support that covers travel expenses from Denmark to international locations, from international locations to Denmark, as well as local transport costs while abroad. You can also apply for national travel support in Denmark via the ‘National Travel Subsidy Scheme’, which is administered by JazzDanmark.

Residencies
Art Music Denmark offers several international residencies annually, available to Danish musicians working within our music genres. In collaboration with other actors and organisations, we have granted residences over the past few years in locations such as Southern Spain, Germany, Paris, London and the US. The overall aim of the residencies is to give musicians the opportunity to deepen their musical practice and establish international networks for the benefit of their careers.

Hotel Discount
Art Music Denmark has an arrangement with Hotel Kong Arthur and Ibsens Hotel in Copenhagen to make it easier to host guests from abroad and the rest of Denmark by offering a discount on rooms to individuals and actors working within our music genres.

Projects
Art Music Denmark launches a number of projects annually, which are focused around improving conditions for musicians within our music genres. We establish networks, offer international residencies, and collect data relevant to musicians operating within contemporary music, classical music and sound art.

Publications
Art Music Denmark publishes various publications alone and together with other organisations. At musikdata.dk, we regularly publish reports and articles, which are the product of our focus area regarding data and documentation about Danish music life.. As something new from 2022, Art Music Denmark will publish annuals with ongoing inspiration about music life and our projects.

Danish Music
In Denmark, there is no single comprehensive overview of Danish musical works. Art Music Denmark has therefore collected links to Danish music publishers and composers, as well as to the Works Database where almost 16,000 Danish musical works are registered and described in the period 1916-2006.
