Art Music Denmark is behind #nextcrowd, an open and practical toolbox for everyone who works with audience development, hosting, communication and developing stronger relationships between art, cultural institutions and audiences.

The tools on the platform have been developed by RasmussenNordic in collaboration with Asbjørn Keiding, project manager for #nextcrowd and TUTTI#2 at Art Music Denmark. The platform brings together knowledge, inspiration, reflection questions and concrete tools that can be used by cultural organisations, festivals, concert organisers, ensembles, associations and other actors who want to learn more about their audience — and about themselves as senders.

On the platform, users can work on questions about target groups, communication, hosting, strategic direction, audience journeys and organisational anchoring, among other things. The material is particularly relevant for actors who want to develop their practice, but who may lack a common language, a clear method or concrete tools to move forward.

#nextcrowd is free to use and available to anyone interested in audience development and audience-oriented cultural work.

#nextcrowd was inspired by concrete experiences from the cultural field and is based on a fundamental ambition to make audience development work more accessible, action-oriented and rooted in the reality of the individual organisation. The platform was created in connection with TUTTI#2, Art Music Denmark’s two-year education and development course for music associations, smaller ensembles and music festivals in the classical music environment.
