Listen to Future Female Sounds on Refugeworldwide Radio

As part of Berlin’s Tag der Clubkultur Future Female Sounds founder Tia Korpe and local DJ instructor Nour took over the studio at Refugeworldwide to talk about their DJ training program. Future Female Sounds has just finished its second session in Berlin and is warming up to do more very soon.

Future Female Sounds train women and gender minorities in concrete DJ skills as well as professionalisation in the music- and club industry. Based in Copenhagen, the non-profit organisation applies positive examples from Danish contexts as how to achieve sustainable circumstances for DJ’s.

Tia Korpe and Future Female Sounds are on a mission to make DJ culture available to women and gender minorities globally, and with local chapters in several cities around the world – now including Berlin – they are changing club culture one DJ at the time in partnership with Club Gretchen, AiAiAi, the Danish Neustart initiative, and the royal Danish embassy in Berlin.
