Join the new song-writing camp in Berlin. Deadline for applications is August 21
BauSongs is a new song-writing camp for Danish and German musicians in Berlin. In the studios of Bauteil3, located in the famous former airport Tempelhof, the participants will work together to create new music.
The camp’s three instructors are Kaspar Kaae (songwriter and film composer), Greta Schenk (GRETA) and Michael Møller (moi Caprice and The Mountains), who all have a close relationship to Berlin. Greta is part German and has recorded both her records in Berlin, while both Michael and Kaspar have lived or are still living there. Their instruction will be based on various methods for composing, continuous feedback and presentations on everything from film music to non-western ways of composing and pop music.
The camp also includes visits to selected artists and other networking opportunities as well as presentations by the established DJ and techno pioneer Mijk van Dijk and Jörg Röttgardt, Music Supervisor at Upright Music.
All Danish and German based musicians are welcome to submit an application. The camp is primarily intended for upcoming talents. There are 10 spots available.
BauSongs is arranged in collaboration between Kaspar Kaae, Michael Møller, ROSA, DPA (Danish Popular Auteurs) and the Danish Embassy in Berlin as part of the Danish NEUSTART initiative. The project is supported by the Danish Arts Foundation.
