As part of our ongoing focus on sustainability and perspectives on working with green transition in classical, contemporary music and sound art, Art Music Denmark is pleased to welcome composer Arash Pandi in a temporary project position.

Art Music Denmark has consistently engaged with the theme of sustainability, notably through the 2023 project Unrelated Narrations. In collaboration with the Danish Composers’ Society, Initiative Neue Musik Berlin and Akademie der Künste Berlin, we established a framework for a new initiative. This initiative brought together six artists to explore how sustainability can be addressed from an artistic perspective and as part of their creative practice.

Recognizing the need for continued work on issues related to green transition – including discovering new perspectives and gathering knowledge – Art Music Denmark opened an opportunity in 2024 for an artist or composer to delve into these questions, gain new insights, and expand their personal and professional networks.

Among the applicants, we have selected Arash Pandi. Arash Pandi has a background as an electronic composer and has also worked extensively on issues related to green transition, including co-founding the network Now or Never.

We look forward to welcoming Arash Pandi and engaging in meaningful dialogues together.
