Art Music Denmark and Ircam offers a Danish composer or musician the opportunity to participate in the French music institution Ircam’s workshop ‘Ircam Forum’ from March 26-28, 2025.
The grant covers transportation, accommodation, meals and the participation fee for Ircam Forum, where the selected participant will present their work as part of the official program. The application deadline is February 10, 23.59.
About Ircam
Ircam – Institute for Research and Coordination in Acoustics/Music – is one of the world’s largest public research centers focused on both musical expression and scientific research. Founded in 1977 by Pierre Boulez, Ircam has since served as a unique institution combining artistic sensibility with scientific and technological innovation.
In addition to research and development in music and sound technology, Ircam hosts workshops, residencies and concerts, including the international festival ManiFeste.

About Ircam Forum
For over 30 years, Ircam has facilitated a network for professionals and enthusiasts in cutting-edge music and sound technology. Each year, they host Ircam Forum, providing insights into the latest technological developments through presentations, workshops and concerts, with much of the content stemming from Ircam’s own research.
This year, Ircam Forum will also feature sessions in collaboration with ContinuuCon and SynthFest. The final program for the upcoming Ircam Forum will be announced soon.
The selected Danish artist/composer will be invited by Ircam to present their work as part of the program with a 20-minute presentation.

Who Can Apply?
Danish composers and artists working with technology as part of their practice.
Art Music Denmark will cover travel to and from Paris, hotel accommodation within walking distance of Ircam and per diem.
Ircam Forum offers to the selected artist the free registration to the event ( three days) and a reduced price on Forum Ircam Premium membership ( 50%).

The application must include:
A short motivation statement (max 1,200 characters), CV documenting your practice and a completed presentation form, which you will find in the application form.

Applications will be reviewed by representatives from Art Music Denmark’s Music Committee.
Applicants can expect a response by February 24, 2025.
