Trio con Brio Copenhagen performs in Berlin’s Pierre Boulez Saal

The winners of the German Critics’ Award ’Trio con Brio Copenhagen’ plays in Berlin’s Peirre Boulez Saal on Tuesday, April 5.

The chamber music Trio con Brio Copenhagen, founded in 1999 and playing a central role in Scandinavia’s contemporary music scene, opens its third concert in the Pierre Boulez Saal with the work of a Danish composer of our time: Per Nørgård’s ‘Spell’, which musically reflects the ambiguity of its English title, attempts to enchant through the ever new “spelling” of motifs. The trio also performs piano trios by Mieczysław Weinberg and Franz Schubert.
