Art Music Denmark is pleased to offer a residency in collaboration with Agerupgård on Samsø. The residency has a duration of one week at a time of your choice during the period October – December 2026.
Since 2022, Agerupgård has facilitated sound art projects and exhibitions, hosted art and music events as well as workshops and seminars with a recurring focus on sustainability and nature, offered artistic residencies, and much more.
In collaboration with Agerupgård, we are pleased to offer a one-week residency during the period October – December, where you can find peace and inspiration to deepen your artistic practice, as well as access to their sound studio. The farm is located in the middle of the Samsø, surrounded by fields and close to the Stauns Fjord nature reserve.

Requirements and practical conditions
The residency is aimed at sound artists and artists within our other genre areas who work with electronic music and/or field recordings, or other experimental approaches that create music in dialogue with nature. The residency is offered to one artist.
The residency can take place for one week of your choice during the period October – December 2026 at Agerupgård, including a private room and access to kitchen and bathroom facilities. In case other artists are in residence at Agerupgård’s graphic workshop at the same time, facilities will be shared.
The sound studio is also located at Agerupgård. Please indicate in the application form below which weeks you are interested in a residency. List 2–3 weeks that are relevant for you in the application form.
Art Music Denmark covers national transport costs to and from Agerupgård corresponding to the cheapest public transport option and provides a per diem during your stay. Accommodation at Agerupgård is included in the residency.
If you need contact beyond the residency hosts during your stay, you can always reach Art Music Denmark’s project manager, Alexander Julin.
Collaboration opportunities
Agerupgård regularly hosts events focused on sound and visual art, music, and nature. Depending on the relevance of your project, there may therefore be opportunities to enter into dialogue with Agerupgård about collaboration, a concert, or a performance at one of their future events, subject to sufficient secured funding.
Selection and application
Applications will be assessed based on an overall evaluation of the artist’s profile and the potential benefit of the residency.
All applications will be reviewed by a panel consisting of representatives from Agerupgård and Art Music Denmark’s music committee. Applicants will receive a response no later than week 35, after all applications have been reviewed.
