At Art Music Denmark, we are delighted to welcome three new employees: our new bookkeeper, Isabel Douglass; project manager for our new audience development project, Asbjørn Keiding; and Bastian Smith-Sivertsen, who is responsible for data collection in connection with our current project on music journalism in Danish media.

Isabel Douglass
Isabel Douglass has worked in the music industry in a wide range of roles. Since moving to Denmark, she has run the booking and management agency Tone Chamber, produced the traveling festival Lux Boreal, and is now part of the curation team at the venue ALICE. She holds a master’s degree in music from the Royal Academy of Music.

Isabel works as a bookkeeper at the Danish Composers’ Society and now also with us at Art Music Denmark.

Asbjørn Keiding
Asbjørn Keiding has over 20 years of leadership experience in artistic and cultural organizations at both national and international levels. He has worked with political advocacy, organizational development, fundraising, audience development as well as sustainable and digital strategies, including the use of data analysis and AI—particularly within classical music. Additionally, he serves as an accreditation expert for music conservatories internationally.

Asbjørn has been a member of the Danish Arts Foundation and Copenhagen’s Music Committee, contributing to the development of Denmark’s music scene. He is trained as a pianist and music educator from the Royal Danish Academy of Music and holds a master’s degree in Experience Economy from Roskilde University.

At Art Music Denmark, Asbjørn works as a project manager for our new audience development project, which we look forward to sharing more about this week!

Bastian Smith-Sivertsen
Bastian Smith-Sivertsen holds a bachelor’s degree in musicology from the University of Copenhagen, where he is currently taking a short break before resuming his studies in the fall. Alongside his education, he has worked as a student assistant at the Royal Library, where he gained a deep appreciation for the importance of metadata and other digital aspects of archiving in preserving knowledge for the future. In this role, he has worked extensively on making data more accessible.

Over the next few months, Bastian will be involved in data collection for our project on Danish music journalism. His work will help quantify developments in several Danish newspapers, providing a foundation for our future efforts in this area. “I hope the data I collect will help provide insight into how our conversations about music evolve and shift over time,” says Bastian.
