Art Music Denmark, in collaboration with and on the initiative of Aarhus Chamber Orchestra, is hosting a networking and industry day.

Our aim is to gather a professional network of all institutions that employ classical musicians in Aarhus. The initiative is supported by The Augustinus Foundation and Aarhus Municipality’s Music Fund.

Why?
The classical music scene in Aarhus holds great potential thanks to its diversity and many active players, but it also faces a number of challenges that must be addressed in order for this potential to be fully realised. Not least through collaboration and mutual knowledge. Many players work in isolation even though much more could be achieved through stronger networks and better coordination.

The purpose of this day is to identify our industry’s local challenges together and formulate a concrete action plan for how we can best ensure an attractive and rich classical environment for musicians in Aarhus in the future.

18:00–19:15: Dinner (optional and free – but you are very welcome to join)
19:30: Concert with Aarhus Chamber Orchestra in Lille Sal, Musikhuset (optional and free for participants – we hope to see many of you!)

We hope to see as many as possible, regardless of your role in Aarhus’ classical music community.
