STATUS

The aim of STATUS is to examine and analyse the classical and contemporary music’s condition in the Nordic countries and identify new possibilities for collaborations. Besides Art Music Denmark, the STATUS network also includes four other music organisations from Iceland, Finland, Sweden and Norway: Music Finland, Unga Tankar Om Musik (UTOM), Music Norway and Iceland Music Information Centre (IMIC).

In May 2022, the represented music organisations participated in a workshop in Copenhagen with Bespoke Agency, who had developed a method, which was used as a starting point for the project’s investigation.

In september 2022, STATUS released a report which contains an oversight of possible solutions for different challenges as well as potentials, which applies in one or more of the represented countries. The report can be read and downloaded for free on nordicstatus.org.

The project is funded by The Augustinus Foundation and The Nordic Culture Fund.
