It is with great pleasure that we can once again announce a residency for two professional classical musicians in Mojácar, Almería, Southern Spain, from October 1-15, 2026.
Based on classical musicians’ need for intensive practice periods and international networks, the project provides two Danish classical musicians the opportunity for a 2-week stay focusing on professionalism and immersion at the beautiful Fundacion Valparaiso. The residency takes place from October 1-15, 2026 and includes meals and accommodation, travel support, as well as access to study and an auditorium with a piano and grand piano.

– “Getting to spend two weeks at Valparaiso Foundation has been an incredible chance for me to take some concrete steps in a more multidisciplinary direction in my practise, which would combine visual art and my already existing musician profile. I’ve managed to prepare and create an application for a multidisciplinary project, and create 3 new artworks. I’ve discovered this residency thanks to Art Music Denmark, and their very important work of creating such amazing residency opportunities to Danish musicians.” – Nadia Okrusko, pianist, om residency på Fundación Valparaíso, Spanien.
If you have any questions about the application or the residency, you are welcome to contact project manager Laura Dalgaard at laura@artmusicdenmark.org
