You can now apply for a pitch session as part of Klang Festival’s international visiting program.
As part of Klang Festival’s 2026 International Visitors’ Programme, we’re excited to announce a special pitching session — a unique opportunity for composers and creators to present their work to an international panel of delegates, including festival directors, ensemble leaders, journalists and curators from countries such as Belgium, Greenland, Norway, UK, Switzerland, Netherlands, Ukraine and Poland.
Who can apply
Artists and composers working within the field of contemporary music and sound art who are based in Denmark or the Malmö area.
Requirements
A total of five projects will be selected for presentation.
Format
Each selected participant will have:
The selected participants will have a short meeting with the moderator of the pitch session by phone or e-mail before their presentation.
There will be a screen, video and sound available at the venue.

All presentations must be held in English due to the international nature of the event.

Selection Process
Sofie Dan Thorsbo (Art Music Denmark’s Music Committee) will choose the selected participants in collaboration with James Black, Artistic Director of Klang Festival.
The application deadline is April 1st 2026 – selected artists will be notified shortly after.
