Danish New Music Academy is a five-day course held in Aarhus in July 2022.

International visitor program – KLANG-Festival
In collaboration with Edition-S and Wilhelm Hansen, a visitor program for international industry guests was held in Denmark in June 2022. It had a particular focus on industry guests from Germany and the rest of Europe.

Historisk Lydskat (Historic Sound Treasures)
In collaboration with STRØM and the Danish Composer’s Society, we developed a project to ensure conservation and sharing of works from older Danish electro-acoustic composers.

Komponistkollektivet (The composer’s collective)
Composer and project manager Lil Lacy has developed a new meeting place for composers across genres.

Showcase and networking with Creative Europe Desk
A showcase and networking meeting was developed in collaboration with the Danish Palaces and Culture Agency and Creative Europe Desk Denmark, with the aim of highlighting EU funding opportunities for professionals in the Danish music sector.

VÆKST at Musikhuset København (Music House Copenhagen)
Art Music Denmark has entered into a close partnership with the association Musikhuset København for 2022-2023 called VÆKST. The partnership focuses on several initiatives to bring musicians to Musikhuset’s exciting location in Vesterbro, Copenhagen.

Art in Action
Art Music Denmark is part of the European project Art in Action, which fundraises for a large collaborative project which will create new opportunities for both education and performance.
Month of Contemporary Music – Berlin
As part of Art Music Denmark’s cross-border project NEUSTART, we are partnering with the initiative Neue Musik Berlin on several initiatives in Berlin during September 2022. This includes international visitor programs, conferences, and more.

New work for Domen Aarhus
As part of Art Music Denmark’s cross-border project NEUSTART, we are collaborating with Aarhus Festival to create a new musical work for the cultural centre Domen Aarhus, developed by both a Danish and German sound artist. The work will premiere during the Aarhus Festival.
